About Susan

Lifecycle Women’s Health

Susan is a certified nurse-midwife (CNM), sexuality counselor (CSC), and menopause specialist. She holds a master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and a Master of Public Health (MPH). She has more than 40 years of experience caring for women across their lifespan. She worked with women and midwives in Israel, Europe, New York City, the greater Boston area, and in Maine.

After practicing as a full-scope midwife, working primarily with pregnant people, Susan now focuses her career on menopause and sexual health at Lifecycle Women’s Health in Brunswick, Maine. She started this practice after personally and professionally experiencing the healthcare injustices people face as they age. She views midwifery as a form of activism and is committed to helping people access holistic midlife and menopausal care.

She is the mother of two grown sons and her lovable 3-year-old rescue pup, Cookie. When she is not advocating for midlife women’s health or seeing patients, she spends her time in nature and loves to share all that Maine has to offer with her friends and family.
