In & Around Stowe
- Take a stroll along Main Street’s collection of shops, galleries, and restaurants to sample the best that Stowe has to offer. We love The Current in the Stowe Public Library for a free dose of contemporary art, and the Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum for some history.
- Ben & Jerry’s Factory Tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Vermont’s most famous ice cream, and some tasty samples, too.
- Walk or ride your bike along the 10-mile Stowe Recreation Path (accessible from Talta)
- Venture out on some of our favorite hikes, including Pinnacle or the Toll Road (closed to vehicles until late May)
- Take a twisty-turny road trip up and over Smuggler’s Notch.
- Hop in the saddle for some of the region’s best mountain and gravel bike riding. Stowe Vermont Bike Rentals (operating out of AJ’s Ski and Sports) rents bike path cruisers, mountain bikes, gravel bikes, and even e-bikes.
